In this video, we will be chatting with Mike from Team Nutz Technology about their lighting business.

Race Sport Lighting: Hey everybody, my name is Henry with Race Sport Lighting and We ♥ Our Dealers is a video series, celebrating and capturing success stories from our top dealers around the country. This affords us the privilege of learning from and sharing in their lighting success stories and, in this video, I have Mike joining me from Team Nutz. For nearly 15 years now team nuts have been the number one choice of 12-volt electronics in Pittsburgh, PA they also oversee a conglomerate of detailing departments of different dealerships and marinas, making them one of the largest detailing companies in the Tri-state area. And they also, to top it off, have been an authorized Race Sport Lighting dealer for over six years now. They are also absolutely one of our favorite teams to work with. So, without any further ado, Mike, welcome to the show, buddy!
Team Nutz: Hey, Henry! Thanks for having me.
Before you partnered with Race Sport® Lighting, how was your lighting business going?
Race Sport Lighting: Sure thing! I’m just going to jump in. So, what we want to know is before you partnered with Ray sport, how would you describe your lighting business? Like how was that going for you guys?
Team Nutz: Before Race Sport, we really didn’t even want to do HIDs really because there was no support. So, to me before Race Sport we just we didn’t want to mess with anything like that. But I mean Race Sport’s has [tech and install] support making it an easy process.
What Made Team Nutz Partner with Race Sport Lighting?
Race Sport Lighting: What was the deciding factor for you guys going with us, versus’ the other options out there on the market?
Team Nutz: One, the quality of Race Sport, in my opinion, you can’t beat that with any other competitor. And then again, the support. Support is a real big when you do have issues. You can literally get somebody on the phone and help you out. Really quickly. So, quality and support are really solid.
What Lights are Team Nutz Top Movers?
Race Sport Lighting: My guess is you guys are going GEN6® CAN-BUS HID, right?
Team Nutz: Yeah, right now we’re using GEN6 which is easiest. I think prior to Gen six coming out, we were doing the GEN6 or I’m sorry, the GEN4 right, and then after the GEN6 came out it made it simpler than ever. And the quality on them again isn’t comparable. I mean since even getting with Race Sport you can see the customers are very happy with the product. Even if we needed support and everything, but just the quality of the product, we sell a lot of HIDs, LEDs and even light bars.
Race Sport Lighting: Excellent. What light bar series you guys tending to use?
Team Nutz: Um, right now I think we are using, there’s a couple of different ones that we offer. I don’t really have these statics in front of me to tell you what’s the most so the most famous one. Well, I mean, commercial lighting, period, is very popular right now.
Race Sport Lighting: So, just amber/white LED strobes and LoPro bars, stuff like that?
Team Nutz: Yeah, those are the most popular. Absolutely.
Race Sport Lighting: We’ve actually seen this across the country. So, that’s great that you brought that up. Commercial is becoming more of a bigger deal now, than it ever was before.
Talking 5 Axis Professional Lighting Displays
Race Sport Lighting: I see you got a wonderful lighting display from 5 Axis. Thank you, guys, for that, that’s excellent!
Team Nutz: It’s very helpful to sell what the customers need. They can see with their eyes how everything’s working. It also shows the difference between the products to the customers.

Race Sport Lighting: Other than that, man, what else do you guys got going on a Team Nutz? I always open the floor for you guests. Tell us about the shop. Tell us what’s going on.
Team Nutz: We’re prepping for the World of Wheels Show, in Pittsburgh which is January 24th-26th. There’s going to be a Race Sport Lighting on display there and everything like that. People can come see demos and a huge, huge display of Race Sport Lighting products. A lot of our employee’s and customer’s cars are in the show. Most of them have Race Sport Lighting products on them, which is nice. So, people can see that. But again, World of Wheels on January 24th-26th
Race Sport Lighting: On some real stuff from everybody at Race Sport (I’m not just saying this because we’re on an interview together) Thank you, guys! I mean, you guys, it’s been 6, 7, 8 years that you have been supporting us and we always like talking to you.
Handling a Personal Matter…
Race Sport Lighting: But about maybe five years ago, I was promised one of those excellent Team Nutz, jerseys or a hoodie. And I never got delivery on that promise.
Team Nutz: So, what is your size? LOL
Race Sport Lighting: LOL, I’ll take a large! I’m a medium but you know, I like a little bit of room. Maybe we can swap some merch or something.
